BofA Fund Seeks More Of $624M Countrywide Deal In 9th Circ.

Law360, Los Angeles (April 9, 2013, 9:17 PM EDT) -- A Bank of America Corp. employee pension fund urged the Ninth Circuit on Tuesday to increase its share of the $624 million settlement of an investor class action against Countrywide Corp., saying a trial judge’s incorrect interpretation of the plaintiff class definition shorted it by at least $12 million.

The fund, which is the successor to Countrywide's employee retirement plan, said U.S. District Judge Mariana R. Pfaelzer should not have interpreted the class definition to limit compensation to about $77,000 in losses attributable to Countrywide shares...
