ITC Takes Up Patent Dispute Over Motion-Sensing Electronics

Law360, New York (April 10, 2013, 3:30 PM EDT) -- The U.S. International Trade Commission said Wednesday that it would investigate allegations by semiconductor maker STMicroelectronics Inc. that three competitors are importing products that contain patented motion-tracking technology. 

The commission voted to institute an investigation into whether rival InvenSense Inc. and its customers Stanley Black & Decker Inc. and streaming video device maker Roku Inc. infringe five STM patents.
