Chip Maker Avago To Pay $400M For CyOptics

Law360, New York (April 11, 2013, 8:17 PM EDT) -- Electronic chip maker Avago Technologies Ltd. said Thursday that it has inked a $400 million deal to buy Pennsylvania-based CyOptics Inc. in an acquisition that representatives said will boost the Singapore company's fiber optics product portfolio.

Avago, which supplies analog interface components for communications, industrial and consumer applications, said it has reached a definitive agreement to acquire CyOptics for $400 million in cash, according to a statement.
