Alstom Inks $590M Supply Deal For Brazilian Wind Project

Law360, New York (April 11, 2013, 6:22 PM EDT) -- French power generation equipment giant Alstom SA has signed a €450 million ($590 million) agreement with Brazilian renewable energy company Renova Energia to supply 513 megawatts of wind turbine capacity for a major Brazilian onshore wind project, Alstom said Thursday.

According to Alstom, its renewable power unit will assemble, operate and maintain dozens of wind turbines for Renova Energia — the largest wind power supplier in Brazil — on wind farms in the Bahia state in the northeast of the country, beginning in 2015.
