ITC Decides To Listen In On Bose Headphone Case

Law360, New York (January 4, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- The U.S. International Trade Commission has launched an investigation into whether Bose Corp.’s two patents are being infringed by the importation of noise-reducing headphones made by Panasonic Corp. of North America, Logitech Inc. and other headset manufacturers.

The ITC decided on Dec. 26 to further examine the infringement allegations raised in Bose’s complaint filed in late November, according to the Federal Register on Friday.

The technology at issue involves headphones with features that reduce ambient noise in order to improve audio quality.
