2nd Circ. Told Applebee's Cert. Ruling Threatens Class Actions

Law360, Los Angeles (April 12, 2013, 5:33 PM EDT) -- A consumer advocacy group petitioned the Second Circuit Friday to reverse a district court’s decision not to certify a class of Applebee's International Inc. employees suing for unpaid wages, saying the lower court’s misinterpretation of the U.S. Supreme Court ruling in Comcast v. Behrend would “dramatically reduce the availability of class actions.”
