Toyota Asks Justices To Send Brake Case To Arbitration

Law360, New York (April 15, 2013, 4:03 PM EDT) -- Toyota Motor Corp. told the U.S. Supreme Court on Wednesday that a putative class action over alleged brake defects in its hybrid vehicles must be sent to arbitration, arguing that even the arbitrability of claims against a nonparty to a customer agreement must be decided by an arbitrator.
