Infringement Probe Of High-Tech Imports To Proceed

Law360, New York (January 7, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- The U.S. International Trade Commission announced Friday it will take up Tessera Technologies Inc.'s request that it investigate the importation of certain allegedly infringing semiconductor technology in products that use dynamic random access memory, or DRAM.

The ITC noted that its decision to initiate a formal investigation is not a comment on the case's merits. The matter will be referred to an administrative law judge, who within 45 days will set a target date for completion, according to the commission.
