Investors Jockey For Lead Status In WaMu Suit

Law360, New York (January 7, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- Washington Mutual Inc. shareholders and their lawyers are vying for lead status in three separate but similar federal suits that accuse the Seattle-based bank of pressuring its appraiser to boost home values.

A handful of the plaintiffs Friday filed bids for lead status in three class actions in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.
