9th Circ. Weighs If Gay Conversion Therapy Is Free Speech

Law360, San Francisco (April 17, 2013, 6:12 PM EDT) -- The Ninth Circuit heard arguments Wednesday in two lawsuits challenging California's legislative ban on psychological therapies aimed at "curing" homosexuals under age 18, which therapists decry as a violation of free speech and the state's Attorney General defends as akin to regulating medical advice.
