Grand Jury To Probe Compounder Over Meningitis Outbreak

Law360, New York (April 19, 2013, 6:22 PM EDT) -- A Michigan court on Friday approved the state attorney general's request for a grand jury to investigate whether the New England Compounding Center broke any state laws in actions that led to a multistate meningitis outbreak that caused 16 deaths in Michigan.

Bill Schuette announced Friday that the Michigan Court of Appeals approved his request to launch a multicounty grand jury investigation into the outbreak.
