Investment In Clean Energy Topped $117B In '07

Law360, New York (January 8, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- New investment in clean energy sources worldwide soared last year to more than $117 billion in spite of ongoing investor wariness inspired by turbulence in global credit markets, according to a study conducted by analysts at research firm New Energy Finance.

The study noted that the amount of new money invested in the clean energy sector grew 41 percent from the year before and ended up beating industry predictions by more than $20 billion.
