Report Tackles Unique Questions Of Bankruptcy Ethics

Law360, Chicago (April 24, 2013, 7:00 PM EDT) -- A new report released Sunday aims to bridge the gap between ethics rules crafted for the legal field at-large and the unique realities of bankruptcy practice, taking particular aim at a hazy and problematic rule regarding disclosure of potential conflicts by professionals.

Unveiled at the American Bankruptcy Institute’s spring meeting, the 104-page report is the culmination of a two-year effort by the institute’s National Ethics Task Force, a diverse collection of respected bankruptcy attorneys, two sitting judges and other restructuring professionals.
