Southwestern Bell Hit With FLSA Suit

Law360, New York (January 9, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- AT&T subsidiary Southwestern Bell Telephone Co. has been hit with a collective and class action lawsuit alleging that it denied wages and overtime pay to its call center employees by forcing them to work “off the clock” hours.

The suit was filed Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Kansas by William Gipson, who worked at Southwestern Bell's call center in Wichita, Kan., from October 2003 to March 2007.
