Law360, New York (May 21, 2013, 5:05 PM EDT) -- Paul Shechtman is a partner in Zuckerman Spaeder LLP's appellate practice in New York. He began his career as a law clerk to the Honorable Louis H. Pollack and the Honorable Warren E. Burger. He joined the United States Attorney's Office in 1981 as an Assistant U.S. Attorney. In 1987, Shechtman became counsel to the District Attorney, New York County and then chief of the Criminal Division U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York in 1993. Shechtman acted as director of Criminal Justice for New York from 1995 to 1997 before joining Stillman & Friedman, where he practiced for 14 years. He is now a partner at Zuckerman Spaeder in New York. Shechtman also serves as an adjunct professor at Columbia University Law School, where he teaches evidence and criminal procedure....
