AstraZeneca Hit With US Subpoena Over UK Plant

Law360, Washington (April 25, 2013, 4:35 PM EDT) -- AstraZeneca PLC revealed Thursday that the U.S. attorney's office in Boston has issued a subpoena for internal records and documents pertaining to the drugmaker's manufacturing standards at its Macclesfield facility in the U.K.

The facility in question, located in the northwest of England, is AstraZeneca's second largest manufacturing site as well as its European drug packing center, according to the company. The company noted it received the request on March 28 in its first-quarter earnings report.
