Sierra Club Seeks ConocoPhillips' Arctic Drilling Docs

Law360, New York (April 26, 2013, 6:11 PM EDT) -- The Sierra Club and four other environmental groups sued two U.S. Department of the Interior agencies in Washington federal court Friday in hopes of accessing public records submitted by ConocoPhillips as part of oil and gas exploration efforts in Alaska's Chukchi Sea.

The complaint accuses the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management and the Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement of dragging their feet on three Freedom of Information Act requests submitted last year seeking an array of ConocoPhillips documents.
