Dell, Toshiba, Others Sued Over Computer-Cooling Patents

Law360, New York (April 29, 2013, 12:04 PM EDT) -- Two Taiwanese companies that make heat-dissipating components for computers hit Dell Inc., Toshiba Corp. and several others with patent infringement lawsuits Friday in Texas federal court.

CpuMate Inc. and Golden Sun News Techniques Co. Ltd. filed six separate lawsuits against Dell, Toshiba, ZalmanTech Co. Ltd., Xigmatek Co. Ltd., Giga-Byte Technology Co. Ltd. and Cooler Master Co. Ltd., accusing each of willfully using patented technology for thermal modules, or units that prevent computers from overheating.
