Auxilium Inks $657M Deal For Erectile Dysfunction Drug Co.

Law360, New York (April 29, 2013, 1:24 PM EDT) -- Pennsylvania-based hormone and male reproductive drug maker Auxilium Pharmaceuticals Inc. has completed its acquisition of private equity-backed Illinois erectile dysfunction drug company Actient Holdings LLC in a deal that could be worth up to $657.3 million, the companies announced Monday.

Auxilium said it made an upfront cash payment of $585 million to Actient stakeholders. The deal also additional Auxilium stock options worth a combined $22.3 million and contingent payments of up to $50 million based on future revenue targets.
