The efforts to ease the sanctions culminated with President Obama's Nov. 19, 2012, visit, which was the first time a sitting U.S. president has visited Myanmar. Although U.S. persons may now engage in certain transactions with Myanmar, caution should still be exercised, as many restrictions against the government of Myanmar and leaders of the military junta remain in place....
