Judge Approves Constellation Patent Settlements

Law360, New York (January 10, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- A federal judge has approved a handful of settlements in a case brought by patent-holding company Constellation IP LLC over a computer generated presentation system used to display information on Web sites, including those of Allstate, Capital One and Netflix.

Judge Leonard Davis of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas on Wednesday granted motions to dismiss with prejudice all claims and counterclaims between Constellation and defendants Capital One Financial Corp., Netflix Inc., Ameritrade Inc., Southwest Airlines Co. and Fidelity Brokerage Services LLC....
