Whistleblower's MTA Contract Fraud Suit Kept Alive

Law360, New York (May 1, 2013, 7:08 PM EDT) -- A New York federal judge refused Wednesday to throw out a case accusing a Spanish information technology company of retaliating against an employee who blew the whistle on an alleged attempt to commit fraud on a New York Metropolitan Transit Authority contract.

U.S. District Judge J. Paul Oetken denied Telvent GIT SA's motion for summary judgment, saying Phillip Leshinsky's suit against the company should go to trial to resolve remaining questions of fact.
