Settlement Resolves Suits Over Deadly Fla. Garage Collapse

Law360, Miami (May 02, 2013, 4:53 PM ET) -- The families of the construction workers killed and injured in the collapse of a $22 million Miami Dade College parking garage have settled their lawsuits against the builders on confidential terms, according to attorneys for the parties.

The families of the four workers killed and five of the injured settled with the defendants in the suits, which include the construction and engineering companies responsible for the parking garage, which collapsed Oct. 10.

“These matters have been amicably resolved for undisclosed amounts of compensation,” the attorneys said...
