CMS Proposes $500M Payment Bump For Nursing Homes

Law360, New York (May 2, 2013, 8:21 PM EDT) -- Medicare expects to pay skilled nursing facilities about 1.4 percent more in fiscal year 2014, or about $500 million more total, the agency said Wednesday in a proposed rule setting payments to nursing homes and other facilities for 2014.

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services on Wednesday released its proposal for the annual update in payment rates to skilled nursing facilities.
