Kobe Bryant, NJ Auction House Square Off Over Memorabilia

Law360, New York (May 3, 2013, 8:34 PM EDT) -- A New Jersey auction house on Thursday filed suit in New Jersey federal court against basketball superstar Kobe Bryant in an effort to block his interference with a planned auction of Bryant’s personal items allegedly consigned to it by his mother.

Goldin Auctions LLC filed a complaint for expedited declaratory judgment, hoping to get an injunction preventing Bryant from stopping the auction of between 70 and 100 of his personal items that is currently scheduled for June, according to the complaint, as the Camden, N.J., auction...
