Prominent NY Democrat Held For Foreclosure Embezzlement

Sampson, a lawyer and former top party leader in Albany who was placed at the heart of a casino bid-rigging scandal three years ago, was arrested Monday and charged with embezzling $440,000 in proceeds from property foreclosure sales to fund his political ambitions.
