FERC Says LNG Facility Would Have Limited Impact

Law360, New York (January 11, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission has concluded that the controversial proposed Broadwater liquefied natural gas facility in Long Island Sound would result in fewer environmental impacts than any alternatives considered, provided the agency's recommendations are implemented, according to a report released Friday.

FERC's Final Environmental Impact Statement on the LNG project comes several days after Connecticut Attorney General Richard Blumenthal urged New York to reject the proposal.
