Apple Didn't Infringe Motorola Patent, ITC Tells Fed. Circ.

Law360, New York (May 6, 2013, 9:22 PM EDT) -- The U.S. International Trade Commission on Monday urged the Federal Circuit to affirm the agency's ruling that Apple Inc hadn't infringed a Motorola Mobility Holdings Inc. smartphone patent, saying Apple's devices were incapable of practicing the asserted claims.

Pushing the appeals court to reject Motorola's bid to reverse the August ruling, the ITC said Apple's accused iPhones and iPads simply were not capable of meeting the limitations of Motorola's asserted patent.
