Writers Sue Paramount, MGM Over G.I. Joe Sequel

Law360, New York (May 06, 2013, 9:51 PM ET) -- The writers of the 2009 film "G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra" on Friday sued production studios including Paramount Pictures Corp. and Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios Inc. for $23 million in California federal court, claiming the studios appropriated work they had submitted for a sequel without their permission or crediting them for it.
