Clyde & Co. To Open Beijing Outpost

Law360, New York (May 7, 2013, 7:48 PM EDT) -- BigLaw's expansion into Asia continued this week with Clyde & Co. LLP's announcement that it has secured a license to open in the Chinese capital.

The United Kingdom-based firm applied for a license to open in Beijing in early 2012 "in the hopes of tapping the outbound investment market driven by state-owned enterprises," the firm said.

The Beijing office will be Clyde & Co.'s third in Greater China. The first office in Hong Kong launched in 1981 and now has 11 partners and 38 staff, the firm...
