Canadian Health Officials Hushed Drug Research, Suit Says

Law360, New York (May 07, 2013, 7:39 PM ET) -- A Canadian health economist on Monday sued British Columbia's health ministry, claiming it wrongfully terminated his research contract in order to suppress his findings that some anti-psychotic medications covered by the country's health system had harmful side effects.

William Warburton alleges his contract was terminated in July as part of the ministry's investigation into what it said was a breach of private health data of province residents.
