Pittsburgh Arena Football Team Sued For Not Paying Interns

Law360, New York (May 07, 2013, 5:52 PM ET) -- Arena football team Pittsburgh Power was hit with a class action Tuesday by a former intern upset that the team relies on its unpaid workers to handle a wide range of duties, including bookkeeping, ticket selling, and secretary and janitorial work.

Christopher Boyle, who worked as an intern between 2011 and 2012, claims the team’s treatment of interns violates the Fair Labor Standards Act as well as the Pennsylvania Minimum Wage Act.
