ClearCorrect Infringes Competitor Patents, ITC Judge Says

Law360, New York (May 7, 2013, 6:54 PM EDT) -- A U.S. International Trade Commission judge on Monday said Houston-based ClearCorrect Operating LLC has violated seven patents held by the developers of the Invisalign teeth-straightening system.

In a notice posted on the ITC's website, Administrative Law Judge Robert K. Rogers Jr. determined that products made by ClearCorrect and an affiliated company in Pakistan infringe on 37 of the 40 claims Align Technology Inc. has asserted in the case.
