Dallas, Waste Companies Settle Disposal Ordinance

Law360, New York (May 9, 2013, 1:47 PM EDT) -- The city of Dallas may no longer compel several waste management contractors to dispose of their waste at a city-owned landfill after the companies and the city reached a settlement, the National Solid Wastes Management Association said Wednesday.

The settlement, signed by U.S. District Judge Reed O'Connor, permanently enjoins Dallas from enforcing its Flow Control Ordinance, which sought to direct all trash collected within the city to the McCommas Bluff Landfill.
