Judges May Use Vanity Plates Judiciously: Disciplinary Report

Law360, New York (May 8, 2013, 11:13 PM EDT) -- Judges using judicial license plates that signal their position do not inherently flout ethics regulations, but judges considering such vanity plates should also weigh their potential for the appearance of partiality in avoiding traffic violations, a state judicial disciplinary agency said Wednesday.
