Dem Wants 10 More Years Of Terrorism Reinsurance Program

Law360, New York (May 10, 2013, 2:42 PM EDT) -- Rep. Bennie Thompson, D-Miss., introduced legislation Thursday that would renew a federal terrorism reinsurance program for a decade and switch up how the backstop would be triggered.

The ranking member of the House Committee on Homeland Security went a step further than a bipartisan group of representatives who called in February for a five-year extension of the Terrorism Risk Insurance Act, which is set to expire at the end of 2014.
