NYRA Gets Exclusivity Extension

Law360, New York (January 15, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- A bankruptcy judge has agreed to extend the New York Racing Association’s exclusivity period, allowing the bankrupt racing franchise to make it through the confirmation hearing of its reorganization plan next week.

At a hearing on Monday, Judge James M. Peck of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York granted a motion originally filed by NYRA in October, extending the period during which NYRA can file an exclusive plan and receive support of it until Feb. 14.
