Plaintiffs Favor State Court For Class Actions: Study

Law360, New York (January 15, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- The number of wage-and-hour class actions filed against employers continued to increase in 2007, with the most significant growth on the state court level, according to a report published by Seyfarth Shaw LLP’s employment attorneys.

Wage-and-hour suits were by far the employment case of choice for plaintiffs attorneys last year, according to the firm’s fourth Annual Workplace Class Action Litigation Report, which tracked all employment case filings and decisions in federal and state courts in 2007.
