Law360, New York (May 20, 2013, 9:02 PM EDT) -- Ernest Moniz will have a full plate once he's formally sworn in as U.S. energy secretary Tuesday, including a stack of liquefied natural gas export applications waiting for review and multibillion-dollar nuclear waste disposal problems that need long-term solutions.

The Senate on Thursday voted 97-0 to confirm Moniz, a former Energy Department official who headed the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Energy Initiative and served on President Barack Obama's Council of Advisors on Science and Technology.
