8th Circ. Frees Nautilus From Covering Demolition Blunder

Law360, New York (May 21, 2013, 3:32 PM EDT) -- The Eighth Circuit held Monday that Nautilus Insurance Co. had no duty to cover a botched bridge demolition in Illinois, finding three exclusions in a general liability policy applied, according to the published ruling.

The decision upheld Nautilus Insurance's victory over Spirtas Co. in a coverage dispute that arose from subcontractor Dykon Explosive Demolition Corp.'s blasting and demolition of the longest span of the Seneca Bridge in Illinois.
