NJ High Court Asked To Set Independent Contractor Test

Law360, New York (May 22, 2013, 6:25 PM ET) -- The Third Circuit asked New Jersey's highest court on Wednesday to weigh in on a delivery driver class action by designating a test for whether a worker is an employee or independent contractor under state labor laws, a development that could eventually decide whether New Jersey can collect payroll and other taxes on thousands of state workers.
