Dow Sues Rival For Importing Patented Paint Ingredient

Law360, New York (May 23, 2013, 6:13 PM EDT) -- The Dow Chemical Co. on Monday filed a complaint in the U.S. International Trade Commission alleging a competitor operating in Turkey and the Netherlands is importing into the U.S. patent-infringing opaque polymers, ingredients used in paint.

Dow and its Rohm and Haas Co. subsidiary allege Organik Kimya San. ve Tic. AS is violating patents that cover its opaque polymers manufacturing process.
