LG Washing Machines Gather Mold: Suit

Law360, New York (January 17, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- A proposed class action has been filed against LG Electronics USA Inc. alleging the company failed to tell consumers that its front-loading washing machines develop mold and mildew.

The suit, filed Wednesday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of California, said the stainless steel drum of LG Tromm model and other LG front-loading automatic washers have design defects that cause the machines to accumulate mold and mildew.
