Witkoff, Fisher Bros. Buy St. John's Manhattan Campus

Law360, New York (May 28, 2013, 7:22 PM EDT) -- St. John's University has agreed to sell its Manhattan campus to a joint venture including Fisher Brothers and the Witkoff Group for an undisclosed price, the school announced Friday.

The university, which has campuses in Manhattan, Queens, Staten Island and Oakdale, N.Y., is divesting its 101 Murray St. campus in an effort to raise funds to improve its other facilities and its academic offerings.

The transaction comes after the university's investment portfolio reached $411 million in March, the highest in its history, according to the school....
