O'Donnell Ferebee Sued Over Fee-Splitting Agreement

Law360, Houston (May 29, 2013, 10:06 PM EDT) -- A lawsuit launched Tuesday in Texas court accuses O'Donnell Ferebee Medley & Keiser PC of improperly rejecting a fee-splitting agreement and withholding about $650,000 from its client and another law firm.

The Soni Law Firm claims that although O'Donnell Ferebee has taken its cut from a $900,000 settlement of a business dispute the firms litigated, it refuses to pay fees owed to Soni and release the balance to the firms’ client.
