Schumer Says CBP Missed Millions In Furniture Duties

Law360, New York (May 29, 2013, 6:06 PM EDT) -- Sen. Charles E. Schumer, D-N.Y., accused U.S. customs officials on Wednesday of not collecting tens of millions in anti-dumping duties on Chinese wooden furniture and depriving U.S. companies of millions in owed distributions.

Schumer demanded answers from U.S. Customs and Border Protection as to why the duties were not fully collected and why the agency apparently couldn't even identify the Chinese exporters that have been dodging the tariffs.
