Navy Delays $5B Network Contract Until June

Law360, New York (May 30, 2013, 4:05 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Navy said Wednesday that it is delaying an expected $5 billion contract for its next-generation information technology network by about a month, in order to conduct further negotiations with contract finalists.

The Navy's Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command had expected to award the contract by the end of May, but in a new solicitation notice, it pushed its expected award date to June 30.
