Barnes & Thornburg Faces Brewery Founder Malpractice Suit

Law360, New York (May 30, 2013, 8:29 PM ET) -- The co-founder of popular Chicago craft brewery 5 Rabbit Cerveceria Inc. hit Barnes & Thornburg LLP and a firm partner with a malpractice suit Thursday alleging they aided and abetted a scheme to dilute his share in the company.

Former 5 Rabbit CFO Isaac Showaki claims Barnes & Thornburg partner Timo Rehbock helped company co-founder and CEO Andres Araya sell a $250,000 stake in the company without Showaki’s direct knowledge or consent, in an alleged breach of the firm's duties as corporate counsel to the brewery....
