Top Wireless Cos. Take Over DC Subway Project In $2M Deal

Law360, Chicago (May 31, 2013, 2:20 PM ET) -- The four top U.S. wireless carriers have agreed to pay bankrupt Powerwave Technologies Inc. $2 million to settle a feud over an unfinished wireless network the company contracted to build in the Washington, D.C., subway system, according to court documents filed Thursday in Delaware bankruptcy court.

Units of Verizon Inc., AT&T Mobility Corp., Sprint Nextel Corp. and T-Mobile USA Inc. all agreed to the settlement, which will allow them to take over and complete the project for the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority, Powerwave said in...
