Volunteer Firefighter Isn't An Employee, 5th Circ. Says

Law360, Los Angeles (May 31, 2013, 6:16 PM ET) -- The Fifth Circuit on Thursday affirmed a Louisiana federal court’s ruling that a volunteer firefighter is not eligible to sue the fire district she volunteered with over sexual harassment and retaliation claims because she is not an employee, saying she failed to show she was compensated as such.
